The Independent Football Commission (IFC) was for six years (2002-08) an integral part of football’s self-regulatory system. Established by the three football authorities with the agreement of Government, the
IFC acted as a scrutiny and audit body. The IFC produced ten published reports, six Annual Reports and four specialist reports. These are still available to consult or download from this website.
The IFC has now closed and has been replaced by the Independent Football Ombudsman (IFO), which will act as the final stage is football’s complaints procedure. The IFO has its own website
www.theifo.co.uk which may be consulted for IFO ongoing activities.
